Well, it probably isn't a big secret that pink is not my favorite color. But, it has become "my" color because of my recent breast cancer diagnosis. It has also become the color of the month for many corporations and companies selling anything from cookies to hair dryers. Corporations know the big spenders in the average American household are women so marketing the pink ribbon is easy to do and has "good cause" written all over it.
Anyway, I am sharing an MPR report on the Commercialization of Breast Cancer as well as another Web page dedicated to Taking Back Pink. I had to add this information to our blog because I was glad to see I am not the only person who has noticed the issue.
